Histories in the papers this week.
The annual directory called
Men of the Time have put me in this
year. They sent me a lot of
impertinent questions to answer about
my genealogy & my work & prospects.
I suppose it is really a great honour.

Hicks-Beach was pretty good
last night at the Union. My
ordeal comes off next week when
I move that "this House is out
of sympathy with parochial
Fiction".
