My dearest wee Mother

Nan & I were glad to get your kind letter last night. We dined alone, as Susie went to dine with her mother who had just arrived from Munich. Nan is going to see Maud to-day. I have very little in the way of news. Cousin Countess Wenlock has given us a fine picture which will be hung in the dining-room, &, I believe a picture for the front drawing-room. the papers as if a General Election sometime in the summer were pretty certain now

Will you tell Walter that Parkside would be very glad to get the MS. of his "Wellington" as soon as possible. Sir Hugh Lane is back in this country now & I hope to get him to look at Walter's picture very soon. Tell Walter he must sign the English Ulster Covenant.
