often wished it had been issued in
book form.

Canada I knew well in 1906,
having lectured (during three months) in many of its cities.
I stayed for a week in Ottawa, and
visited your future abode - Earl Grey
was the Governor-General then.

With all good wishes for your success
and happiness in a post so great and
honourable. Heartiest congratulations on all the
honours.
