I feel very sory for the fam
ily Martha tell Leucinda for
me that I believe John was a
christian from the conversation
we have had at different times
he was one of the best young
men in camp he was admired
by all who knew him the com
pany all regrets his loss very
much I also am very sorry to
hear of the death of Joseph
McCullough I feel very sorry
for his wife and little children
I have no news of interest to
write at present the most of
the sick arches got well enough
to go home and the balance
are improving except one his
name is McCuen he is out of
head all the time he is a nice
young man I dont think he
can live but a day or two
longer I hate to see him suffer
