31st 4th day 7th 8thmo 31st 4th day Cloudy part of the day: Henrietta spent the day here: Kate here awhile in the afternoon: cousin Sally Brooke sick in meeting today: taken down to Harewood: Lucy and I went to see her after supper: Joe plowing in the meadow: father at the well all day: Lawrence went to Inglesaide after dinner to stay all night

8th mo. 1st 5th day Clear until about 6 oclock, a good rain beginning at half past 6: Lucy and I went to Plainfield in the morning: father took Mother to Clifton in the afteroon, he went to the funeral of Grafton Wheeler's daughter back to Clifton to supper and they had to stay all night.

8th mo 2d 6th day Cloudy mornign, cleared off by noon: rain again after night, nearly 9 oclock: father at the well all day: Lawrence came home after diner: I went to Harewood awhile in the morning: father and mother came home from Clifton efore breakfast.

3d tth day Clear day: father at home all day. Lucy at Harewood awhile in the afternoon: Lizzie Scott called here in the afternoon.

4th 1st day Clear day: Lucy and Lawrence spent the afternoon at Ingleside: Joe at Harewood awhile in the afternoon: Arthur and Anna here after supper.

8th mo father at Frank Thomas's after supper

8th 2dday Clear most of the day, a gust about 8 oclock, rained a good deal of the night: father at Ashton all morning: Aunt Nancy and I went to [W?]etherals in the afternoon: Dr. and Margaret Magruder called her in the afternoon.

6th 3d day Cloudy morning, until toward noon it cleared off, bright afternoon father over in Howard County most of the day. Emily Baugher Edgar Miller and Pattie Thomas called here after supper: after they left Lucy and I went to Harewood awhile: Mary Snowden spent the day here.

tth 8th mo. 4th day Clear most of the day, a shower about 5 oclock. Lucy went to Uncle Samuels from meeting, to Clifton to supper, to Charlie Stabler to stay all night.

8th 5th dya Clear all day: Lucy came home early in the morning. A. H. Curtiss, his daughter and niece spent the day with us: I went to Harewood after supper, Edward and Eliza there.

9th 6th day Clear day. I went to Harewood while in the morning: Lucy and I went to James Stone in the afternoon: Dr. Magruder and Hannah Brooke called here in the morning.

11th 1st day Clear day: Lucy, Lawrence and Joe all at Harewood after supper: Henrietta and Lucy called before meeting.

12th 2d day Fair day, rain after night: Joe begun cutting cloves in the Elm tree field: he staed at Harewood all night: Lucy at Harewood to supper.

14th 4th day Bright most if the day, a cloud in the afternoon, and rain after night: father and mother went to Uncle Charlie's after supper.

15th 4th day Bright most of the day, until toward evening, a very hard rain between six and 7 oclock: Lucy went to see

Bright morning, cloudy part of the afternoon: father got home from Washington about half past 12 o clock. Henrietta dined here, went with Sister and myself to Harewood to tea: Lucy went over after tea.

29th. 5th. day

Rained most of the day: Anna Stabler and her cousins, Arthur, Aunts Martha and Lizzie here to supper.
