31st 4th day 7^th 8^thmo 31^st 4^th day Cloudy part of the day: Henrietta spent the day here: Kate here awhile in the afternoon: cousin Sally Brooke sick in meeting today: taken down to Harewood: Lucy and I went to see her after supper: Joe plowing in the meadow: father at the well all day: Lawrence went to Inglesaide after dinner to stay all night

8^th mo. 1^st 5^th day Clear until about 6 oclock, a good rain beginning at half past 6: Lucy and I went to Plainfield in the morning: father took Mother to Clifton in the afteroon, he went to the funeral of Grafton Wheeler's daughter back to Clifton to supper and they had to stay all night.

8^th mo 2^d 6^th day Cloudy mornign, cleared off by noon: rain again after night, nearly 9 oclock: father at the well all day: Lawrence came home after diner: I went to Harewood awhile in the morning: father and mother came home from Clifton efore breakfast.

3^d t^th day Clear day: father at home all day. Lucy at Harewood awhile in the afternoon: Lizzie Scott called here in the afternoon.

4^th 1^st day Clear day: Lucy and Lawrence spent the afternoon at Ingleside: Joe at Harewood awhile in the afternoon: Arthur and Anna here after supper.

8^th mo father at Frank Thomas's after supper

8^th 2^dday Clear most of the day, a gust about 8 oclock, rained a good deal of the night: father at Ashton all morning: Aunt Nancy and I went to [W?]etherals in the afternoon: Dr. and Margaret Magruder called her in the afternoon.

6^th 3^d day Cloudy morning, until toward noon it cleared off, bright afternoon father over in Howard County most of the day. Emily Baugher Edgar Miller and Pattie Thomas called here after supper: after they left Lucy and I went to Harewood awhile: Mary Snowden spent the day here.

t^th 8^th mo. 4^th day Clear most of the day, a shower about 5 oclock. Lucy went to Uncle Samuels from meeting, to Clifton to supper, to Charlie Stabler to stay all night.

8^th 5^th dya Clear all day: Lucy came home early in the morning. ^{A. H.} Curtiss, his daughter and niece spent the day with us: I went to Harewood after supper, Edward and Eliza there.

9^th 6^th day Clear day. I went to Harewood while in the morning: Lucy and I went to James Stone in the afternoon: Dr. Magruder and Hannah Brooke called here in the morning.

8^th mo. l0^th 7^th day Clear day: ^{rain after night.} Aunt Nancy and Kate started on their Niagaria trip: Lucy at Harewood awhile in the morning. James Hallowell and Marshall here from half past 10 to half past 1 oclock.

11^th 1^st day Clear day: Lucy, Lawrence and Joe all at Harewood after supper: Henrietta and Lucy called before meeting.

12^th 2^d day Fair day, rain after night: Joe begun cutting cloves in the Elm tree field: he staed at Harewood all night: Lucy at Harewood to supper.

13^th 3^d Clear most of the day: a shower the afternoon, and some rain after night: Joe cutting clover. I spent the day at Ingelside, called at Uncle Charlie's to see Autn Martha after supper: father at Ingleside all morning.

14^th 4^th day Bright most if the day, a cloud in the afternoon, and rain after night: father and mother went to Uncle Charlie's after supper.

15^th 4^th day Bright most of the day, until toward evening, a very hard rain between six and 7 oclock: Lucy went to see

afternoon: father went to Washington: I took Cousin Mary Brown home in the morning, and called at Dr. Magruders for peaches: Sister and Mother went to Uncle Charlie's to tea: Laurence went home.

Bright morning, cloudy part of the afternoon: father got home from Washington about half past 12 o clock. Henrietta dined here, went with Sister and myself to Harewood to tea: Lucy went over after tea.

Rained most of the day: Anna Stabler and her cousins, Arthur, Aunts Martha and Lizzie here to supper.

30^th 70^th 8^th mo 6^th day Clear and cool: sister and Lucy went to Rockland to tea: Joe went to Spercerville mill in the afternoon: father to Ingleside.

31^st 7^th day Clear day: sister went to Ingleside in the morning: Henrietta took her to see Sarah Stable and Sue Thomas in the afternoon back to Ingleside to tea, where I met her and brought her home: Kate and Eliz Stable here in the morning: Lucy went to see Aunt Sally in the afternoon.

9^th mo. 1^st 1^st day Clear and cool: Sam Thomas dined here: sister and Joe and myself went to Harewood after supper.

2^d 2^d day Clear most of the day: Emily spent the day hereL she and Lucy called at Harewood in the morning, Bonnie, Hettie and Clara Moore here to supper.

3^d 3^d day Clear and cool: father went to Rockvile: ^{home at noon} sister and I called at Uncle Samuels in the morning, Lucy went to see Aunt Sally awhile: Ellen Miller abd Debbie Reese and Henruetts here to supper

4^th 9^th mo. 4^th day Clear and cool: I called at Harewood in the morning: then to meeting: Lucy went to the Lyecum from meeting and staed until 3 oclock: sister went to Oak Grove from meeting: Kate and Eliza Stabler here to supper: Arthur, Anna and their cousins here after supper.

5^th 5^th day Cloudy all day with slight showers: sister came home from Oak Grove in the morning: she and I went to the Lyceum in the afternoon to the Exhibition. Joe ^{and the men} at work in the meadow
