4th 2d day Clear and mild: Lucy came home from Uncle Charlie's in the morning went to Asa Stablers in the afternoon. I went to Ashton and Sandy Spring in the morning afternoon, to see Aunt Sally too: Lucy Snowden here awhile in the afternoon

5th 3d day Bright morning, clouded up toward evening: father went to the Elect[eni?] in the morning: John and Patti Thomas and Harriet Cox here to tea

11th. mo. 15th. 6th. day Bright all day: cold: I went to Uncle Samuels in the afternoon to stay all night. Lucy called at Sharon and Lulford in the afternoon.

16th. 7th. day Cloudy all day, with snow for several hours, tho not to lay on the ground: Lucy and I spent the day at Charlie Stablers quilting Marianna's quilt. Father went to Spencerville in the morning.

17th. 1st. day Bright day. Lucy Snowden called before meeting, she and Emily, John Thomas and [Warrick?] called after the Bible class. Arthur and Anna called in the afternoon: Joe, Lucy and myself at Harewood after tea.

12th. mo. 1st. 1st. day. Cloudy all day with some snow, and very cold: Annie [Hallewell?] dined here: Lucy went to see Aunt Sally in the afternoon.

2d. 2d. day Clear and mild: we killed hogs. Lucy dined at Uncle Charlies, called at Ingleside and [Ben Millus?]. A hard wind after night.

3d. 3d. day Clear day: Lucy went to Baltimore in the stage: father started to Rockville about 10 oclock: Edith Farquhar called here in the afternoon.

16th 2d day Cloudy all day with snow, hail and rain: Joe thrashed wheat: father at Ashton in the morning.

21st 7th day Bright most of the day: Helen came up in the morning, Henrietta came up in the afternoon: Fannie Adams dined here.

22d mercury 4 1st day Clear and cole. mercury not above 4 at half past 10 oclock, Frank called before meeting. Arthur called in the afternoon. Joe at Uncle Samuels and the Ice pond in the afternoon.

24th mercury 5 3d day Clear most of the day and cold. Lucy Snowden up awhile in the afternoon. Lucy at Harewood awhile in the morning: at the office and to see Aunt Sally in the afternoon.

25th mercury 9 4th day Cloudy all day, begun to snow about 2 oclock in the afternoon: Uncle Samuel called before meetin: Lucy dined at Ingleside.

1864. 1st mo. 1st. 1864. 6th day. Cleared off cold, before dinner: father away nearly all day on business for B. Downes: Lucy came home from Burnside after dinner. William at the Cottage after tea.

2d. 7th. day. Clear and cold: Mercury down to 1 this morning. Kate spent the day here: Joe and William both out somewhere after supper: William at Joshua Gilpins I think.

3d. 1st. day. Clear and cold: John Stabler called here before meeting; Joe and William went to S. Brooke's mill dam in the afternoon to skate: Lucy went to Sharon and to the mill dam awhile, then to Phil's to stay all night; Joe at Phil's after supper; William at Sulford to supper.

4th. 2d. day Cloudy, begun to snow by 10 oclock, snowed all day: Mercury 18 early in the morning: Joe went to Washington: Lucy came home from Phil's in the morning; William at Ashton to a "scale meeting" after supper: Cutting ice in the morning

5th. 3d. day Cleared off cold and windy about noon: father went to Higgins [?] after dinner: Joe came home from Washington William at Joshua Gilpins and Uncle E. Thomas [?] after supper.

Clear morning, clouded up in the afternoon: snowed some at night: Lucy at Harewood and Gideon's in the afternoon, she and William at the Reading Circle in the evening; Mary Brooke came home with them: father at Uncle Samuel's and Ashton in the morning, at the Mill Tree Rush in the afternoon.

6th. day.

Snowed for two hours in the morning, cleared off about noon: Lucy and Mary Brooke went to the Cottage late in the afternoon, William there after supper: for hauling wood all day.

9th.

7th. day.

Clear and cold. Emily came in the stage, Brother came as far as Warwick Millers in the stage the there for him: Joe at Ashton after supper: Charlie Brooke brought Emily down from the store. Mercury 18 at 5 o clock, 13 at 8.

10th.

1st. day.

Clear day. Lucy and Mary Brooke came from the Cottage before meeting: Mary went home after meeting: Fred Stabler dined here: Henry, Mary and Belle Stabler called here
