front of the house. We will expect to
find something beautiful growing there
before long.

The Sec. was requested to write to the
Pres. of the Fair, asking the directors to
use their influence in cutting our all
objectionable side-shows at the time of
the Fair.

Has any one some side-shoots of currant
bushes to give for planting? Katherine
Janney has - Let me add if there is ever
a fruit, flower, shrub, vine, or vegetable that
any one wants - just ask Cousin Kate, for
she always has plenty for herself & it is
her pleasure to give to her friends.

Some one has had trouble in making a
cherry tree grow in heavy clay dirt. Jon
Janney dynamited the hole 4 or 5 ft.,
since then he has had luck with the
fruit.

The question was asked whether it pays
to stake tomatoes - more do not stake
them, than do.

[Si?] Jones who was a guest at the
meeting, has a way of his own for planting
out his tomato bed - by request
he has given your Sec. his description
