Having heard that since the death of Senator Stanford the control of the University has been placed in your hands, I wish to repeat the application, and inform you of my qualifications. "I have

a diploma from the French Academy and also a certificate from the public schools of San Francisco, where I taught seven years, besides first class references from private academies in this city.
