David S Jordan Hightely [Jerized?] friend. How very kind of you to write me as as you do I know so very what a hard working [rian?] you are consequently I appreciate deeply the [trial?] you devote to us. You know how welcome letter from house and loved one are when so far away.

Your last letter tells me of the madying sorrow that has [cows?] to Dr Stillman and his family it is too terrible to even think of how awful to endure. Mrs Stillman and her daughters were the last to whose I said. Good bye too
