exists and hence I could wear the
neck turned in a little. There was
a small number of the male element.
Minnie made a very nice Lord Faunt-
leroy in a pair of gym trousers, with
lace ruffles, black silk shirt waist
with lace collar, red tie and sash
and hair on her neck. Count Caldwell
was quite handsome in black with
plaid sash, and the Duke of Welling-
ton extremely swell in all black with
white shirt. Also M. Vogel made a
cute, short, fat little fellow.

This morning Minnie and I
wandered off alone for a walk. It
was a fine morning and we enjoyed
our four mile walk very much. Just
about a mile from the Dormitory we
found a vacant house of seven small
room sand we built an air castle of
how we would fix it up with just the
most necessary things and you and
Papa and Helen and Mr. and Mrs. Yoder
and Lillie would come out this summer
and all live there and just wander
over the mountains and ejoy the
climate and country with now and then
a day in the city and at San Jose
and other places. It will probably
be very warm here in the summer
though. They say that at Monterey,
which is on the coast, small cottages
with plain ordinary furniture in them
can be gotten for a very small amount
and that one can live quite cheaply.
Minnie and I think it would be just
fine if you folks woulc ome out and
we could spend the summer in some
such place. Well this is enough of
such air castles.
