time of year, but when you have a chance, perhaps you could drop a line to our Director,
Flora Denham Maine Coast Artists Rockport, Me. 04856
It would be really nice if you could come up for lunch in Rockport. I will be there by the end of June, which is when the Director would need the work, for hanging.
Hoping to see you, and thanks for getting something to us if you can -
All best, Millie Cummings

Dear David:
I deeply appreciate your thoughtfulness in sharing with me various materials including AMISTAD II: Afro-American Art. I am going to order a copy of your book "Two Centuries of Black American Art" for my personal library.
I have shared the reviews which you forwarded concerning T.J.'s recent tour with Dr. Lorraine Williams and Dr. James E. Cheek.
In the not too distant future I hope that we may be able to get together for lunch and to chew over old times.
Sincerely,

Dear David,
I hope all is going good with you. It has been a long time, since we have both got in touch with each other, but I have been very tide up with many things, no doubt you yourself in your new job. I have just put on a very big show of 26 painting in the Hochschule der Kuenste in Berlin, which is the work I did on the grant, but I have stayed on in Berlin as it looks o.k. as my base. But I am thinking, of coming to New York in the late winter. If it is possible to do something at your university, I would be interested. I have shown early at this year in lagos at the African Second World Black Arts Festival, whre I thought I might have seen you. I enclose to you a cataloque and a poster. I hope all the family are well and you yourself. Hope to hear from you. Best wishes
yours sincerely Winston B.

Dear David:
It is a great pleasure to know that you will participate in the exhibtion and sale of works by Skowhegan-associated artists opening December 7th at the Kennedy Galleries in New York.
The School has received committments from over sixty artists assuring us of their participation in the exhibition. The final group will be about one hundred.
An illustrated catalogue devoting a page to each artist and his/her work is contemplated.
The School has also retained professional assistance for assemblying the works and for the hanging and display of the works in the most effective manner possible.
We ask that you return the enclosed forms as soon as you have determined the work you will submit. If you have some question about the appropriateness of any piece, please talk to either me or Roy Leaf at the New York office.
If you have difficulty providing a quality photograph suitable for reproduction in the catalogue please be in touch with us so that arrangements may be made to obtain one.
We would like to compelte all selections by the end of September so that the catalogue can be prepared without pressure or overtime costs.
Finally, hold open the evening of Wednesday, December 7th. A dinner for the artists and their spouses, Skowhegan Trustees and Patrons will be held at the Metropolitan Club prior to the opening at Kennedy Galleries. We look forward to your joining us as our guests.
Sincerely,
John Eastman, Jr. Executive Vice President
