Art. 19 The Officers or non commissioned Officers commanding the Post Gds are not to prevent any public notices from being affixed to the Gates of the Garrison when bought by a proper person for that purpose.---

20th When a Guard or Detachm. with arms passes by any Guard that Guard is to be under Arms and if the Guard or Detachment marching by beat the Drums The other is to do the same with rested arms; should a Detach. come into the Town commanded by a Sergeant. The Post Gds

are to be under arms when any party of armed men enter the Town & the Officers to be at their head without their espontoons. - - -

21st. The Post Guards are to be under arms when any Party of armed Men enter the Town altho' they belong to their Garrison - - -

22d. When a detachment or party arrives at the Gates from Corps not belonging to the Garrison The Officer of the Post Guard is not to permit such Detachment or Party to enter the Town till he has sent to acquaint the Captain of the main Guard and receive an order from him for that Purpose - - -

23d No Native Troops except those belonging to the Company or other

or other black man to be permitted to come into the Fort on horseback The dealers in horses are also to be prevented from coming into or riding about the Fort; nor is any person to be suffered to drive carriages into or through it for the purpose of breaking in of Horses. - - -

Art. 24th The Officers of the Post Guard as soon as the arms are lodged in the morning are to visit their sentries & see that every order that has been given out is particularly explained to them.

25th The Guards at the Javelins are to prevent any Dirt or rubbish from being laid between the Gates, & all Carts or Bullocks from stopping there, to obstruct the Public Passage - - -
