Feeling better than ususal. Raining & had to put my old overcoat in use again. Last lecture with Billy Lile. Haven't missed a one with him. Hope he passes me. Letter from Mama. Anatomy exam &

Meds celebrated at night. Had a whole lot of beer on Dawson's row. I put away a pint. It was funny to see how some of the fellows pretended to be drunk. Old [William Thomas] Anglin (class of 1905) put on very bum. James & his dog Hector were there. Bed at 11:30.

Wednesday. May 18. "Heartless regard of social duty, and fatally bent on mischief" — one of Charley's favorites. Fruin got off a good one on Kahn. Said a man inquired of another standing front of a big fire proof building in N. Y. if that was (...) [bottom of page missing]

(...) [top of page missing] what's the matter with you replied the man. Don't you know this is a fire proof building? Wrote to BAC. Went to gym for first time in several weeks. Studied seven hours, doing good. All lights out along the range. Bed at 10:30.

Loafed all morning. Went to an extra {exam} lecture of Billy's in after— noon preparing for exam. Quized with Lawton all evening. Worked hard and was very tired. Feeling sorter bum. Joe talked all about his trip to [go back to] Tenn.
