Did Mr. Watson hand you the Statement of the Executors of E. M. Robinson for premiums paid?

New York Septem. 27 1871

William W. Crapo Esqr New Bedford

Dear Sir, We hand you herewith the following relating to "Alabama" claims

Re A.B. & A.H.D. Exrs. Power of Atty & agreement for Ship "Golden Eagle" E. D. Mandell yet to sign

Re A.B. & A.H.D. Exers. Power of Atty & agreement for Ship "Sea Lark" E.D. Mandell yet to sign

This last claim the Estate of [illegible] has a half interest in, $37.250 & it was filed at Washington by Harry Jewell as Counsels for Saml. G. Reed the managing owner.

We have written Mr. Reed for his power of atty & agreement. We have requested Mr. Beaman to look at the documents on file relating to this case & to let us know if anything is wanted. Mr. Beaman says the papers relating to the "Gipseys" case were apparently made out by Tho. Mandell that he is having a copy of them made & would send them to day. He says Mr. Davis will not leave for Europe for six weeks & probably not so soon.

Herewith is the claim of Willets & CO. For war prems. $91.570.84 with the proper affidavit & notarial certificate. Please acknowledge & oblige.

Yours truly Barling & Davis

It will probably be as well to prepare & send as for completion a power of atty & agreement for Willets Insurance Claim

Dear Sir, Mr. Beaman requests me to write as follows. "Time for filing claim not yet limited by the treaty or the Department. First statement of claim must be at Geneva on 17 Decem next. List of claims are now being printed. It is best that claims should be in this first list, but cannot probably be unless they are filed in three or four weeks & even then may be late. If not filed then they may be filed or presented in subsequent statement. This is confidential to Mr. C. & yourselves".

The Panama RR Co. Have given us their claim for loss of Brig "Golden Rule" by the "Alabama." They do not want to give a power of Atty. but will sign such an agreement as us may present, & as we have not insisted on the power from Corporations we wish you would prepare such an agreement as between The Panama RR Co. a Corporation under the laws of New York by David Hoadley Presdt. & C. C. Beaman Art. B. & A H D. The terms are as stated in our printed form. Mr. Hoadley owned a part of the vessel individually & you had
