Thursday November 17, 1921
A good day. Warm for November Jim worked on tobacco. John Hutcherson went to Danville. He had tobacco for Mr Kent & Marvin and Ben. I do hope it may sell so that they will be paid for carrieing it to Danville. Alcie Callant[?] washed for Josie today. Josie and I got dinner. This evening Cordie Blair come to see us this evening. The chldren went to school. Ben is in Danville to night if they had no bad luck.
Friday November 18, 1921
A good day. Very warm for Nov. Jim stripped tobacco all day and tonight. Henry went to the barn tonight. Ben went to Danville yesterday. He has just come home tonight. He solde tobacco today. Solde very well for what it was. So sorry. Josie ironed a big pile of clothes today and raked on the yard some. I got dinner. I churned. This evening I went to Marvins. I guess they will call the baby Julia. I am glad of it. Mabel has bin good today for her to be. All of the rest of the children went to school.
Saturday November 19, 1921
Cloudy most of the day and some rain. Very warm for Nov. Ben & Jim worked on tobacco some and sowed some wood. Josie got dinner. I have sewed on my quilt the most of the day. Finished tonight. I am glad it is finished. I have bin at home all day. I wanted to go to the river so bad this evening but no one would take me from here and I did not ask any one to take me. I work like a slave and then Ben dont take me any wher when he can reasonably get out of it.
Sunday November 20, 1921
A cloudy day & some rain. We all was at home until after dinner. Josie and I got dinner. I killed and dressed two chickens and fried them. Josie baked some pies. I churned this evening. Jim went to see John Hutchersons hogs. Met up with Mr Jess[?] & Willie Hutcherson and Will Alen and spent the evening walking and talking. Henry B went to Dr Owens. He rode Jake, Bens horse. The [?] broke and Henry fell off. It did not hurt him. Ben & Josie, Edna & Franklin and Mabel and I went to Marvins. They were all well. One of the turkeys is sick and I expect it will die.
