A good day. Ben & Owen & Jim plowed this morning. This evening Jim mowed. Ben & Josie went to Mrs Coats burial.
Henry & Edna and Franklin went to Marvins. Henry carried his ducks with him up there to play with. I went to Mr Hutchersons. Denia and Sallie Blair was there. Anna Mayhew and two of her children was there. Mrs Hutcherson in tends going to Richmond tomorrow for to see the Dr. I hope she may get well.

Friday, September 19, 1919
A good day. The men folks stripped tobacco most of the day. Ben went to see some of the teachers.
Josie & I got dinner. Old man Sam C[a?]llens was buried this evening. We have knowed him ever since we lived in this neighborhood.
Marvin & family went to Chatham this evening. They had the childrens pictures made.
Heard that my brother is improving. Hope he may get well a gain.
Miss Alice Wooding sent me some seed corn by Ben this evening. Hope I may live and be able to plant it.

Tuesday January 18, 1921
A clear colde day. The children went to school.
Jim and Ben was at Gretna. They staid all night at Chatham with Jims family. Come to Gretna and got breakfast and solde their tobacco & come home. They got home a bout dark.
Solde reasonably well I think.
Josie & I cut rags some today. Josie went to Marvins a little while this evening. Mabel was good to day for her to be.
Heard today that Mrs Jack Kellie was buried Saturday. I guess she will be very much missed. I found Henrys knife and 5 cts in the shucks. I have not tolde him yet.
Ben gave me a pair of overshoes to night.

Thursday March 24, 1921
A rainy day most of the day. Mrs Reynols was buried this evening. Ben went to the burial with Marvin. Jim staid at home all day. Josie got dinner. She baked a molasses pudding. It was fine.
I went to Georg Blairs. Lottie Craddock and her children was there. Isla was sewing. Denia & Cordie was makeing Edieth a doll. Denia was bakeing light rolls.
Willie Hutcherson and his mother went to Mrs. Reynols burial.
Monday April 4, 1921
A good day. Ben & Jim plowed until dinner then Ben carried Josie & the two little children and I to Chatham. Josie and the children stoped at Nellies. Ben & I went to Mr Oaks burial. There was a large crowd there. Elder Boaz talked at the house and they sung a song at the grave. Heard that Mrs Mills died this morning. She was at her sisters when she died.
Henry and Edna went to school today. They stopped at Marvins and they eat supper there.
