A cold day cloudy tonight. Ben went to Straight Stone this morning to register his car. Jim went to the woods to cut after they got back. They hauled wood. They have a nice pile of wood at the wood pile.

Josie got dinner. I staid with the baby. I went to Marvins this evening. His children has very bad colds and the children here has bad colds, Jim had a letter from Nellie saying that Mr. Walker was sick a heap of late. 9 30 oclock

A cloudy day no rain. To night the wind is blowin. The men cut wood in the woods. Josie got dinner this evening. Bob Starkey got his car stuck in the mud at the mail box. Mrs Starkey come in a few minutes.

I went to Carries a little while to night. Louise Hutcherson is here. They are playing cards. We heard today that Mr Allen is very bad off. To night Ben spoke in a way that hurt me. I give them nearly all of my time & strength and they don't respect me.

A rainy day. The boys stripped tobacco. The children went to school. They were late at school. Mabel is better today. I am so glad Josie and I do a little cookin and [Nanes?] Mabel is so cross.

I have not bin anywher or heard any thing new so I have not got anything to write. The weather is bad and soon the roads will be bad so that people can't run a car. Henry & Edna are studying their lessons yet.

A very colde morning. The coldest of the winter so far. Ben warmed up his car and got it cranked and carried the barrel of fowls to the island. He had a rough trip. I am very glad that it has bin made. They cut some this evening. It was so colde that no one could do much. Hattie Gilbent washed here today

Josie and I got dinner. We had caned pork for dinner. it was fine Henry went to school We had a letter from Carrie today. I was glad. I miss her so much. Willie Mayhew is here tonight

A bad day. Snowed some. Ben & Jim did not work any this morning. This evening Ben & Jim went to Gretna in the car. They got stalled on the hill between here and the barn. Made the ballance of the way OK. Ben got home before dark. Josie had a letter from Carrie today. We are so glad to hear from them. We heard to day that Smith the Banker had left Gretna. We are very sorrie for that. Josie milked to night. I got supper. The children & Ben are playing carrum. I think they know their lessons. Mabel is up yet.
