Notice to the City of Fort Worth, Texas through its Honorable Mayor and City Council in open regular session sitting.

The Hon Mayor and City Council of said Fort Worth will please take notice as follows, to wit: That Mrs. Ellen Hunter who, on July 18th 1900, was injured through the negligence & carelessness of said City on the West side of Main Street, Fort Worth, Texas between 8th & 9th streets thereof, & who has through us, as her attorneys, filed with your City Secretary to be presented in open session to said City Council a claim for General damages (and said Claim so filed we hereby refer you to), has, by a duly authenticated Sale & Transfer, vested title & ownership to a full a full one-half (1/2) interest and

part of her said claim for damages and cause of actionin and to Ben W. Terrell and C. M. Brown, her attorneys undersigned, a one-fourth (1/4) interest in and to said Terrell and a one-fourth (1/4) interest in and to said Brown, in whatever manner said claim my be recovered or realized upon, whether by a Judgement in Court thereon or by way of a Compromise to settlement thereof.

This notice is given to said City and to your Hon Body for the purpose of protecting our rights & interest in and to said claim arising and to arise by reason of any dealings relative to an respecting the same, as provided by law.

RESOLUTION:

Whereas, it is necessary, and the city charter provides, gor the appointment of some one to represent the city before the Boardof Equalization during its sittings, and

WHEREAS, as the new mode of making the assessments and compiling the rolls under the new charter,is entirely different from the former mode, and not familiar to either the owner of the property or the Board of Equlization, and

WHEREAS, L. P. Lenoir made saidassessment and compiled the rolls for the present year,and is therefore more conversant wuth said rolls and each parcel of property, and the improvementson same, than perhaps any one person,

BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED: That we do hereby appoint Mr. T. P. Lenoir, to represent the city before said Board in all mat ters pertaining to position, and fix his renumeration at $50.00 per month,payment. to be reckoned from July 10th 1900, and payable monthly.
