FORT WORTH, TEXAS, Aug. 17th.

Hon. the Mayor and City Council, City. Gentlemen:

Attached hereto please find five proposals on general repairs to School Buildings and Fire Halls.

Their price being reasonable, and they being the lowest and best bidders, I recommend that the work be awarded to Peabody and Heck, and that the Mayor and City Secretary be instructed to execute the prop er contract with them.

I further recommend that the certified checks accompanying the unsuccessful bids be returned to owners.

PROPOSAL.

For repairs to all the school buildings and Fire Halls od the City of Fort Worth, Texas.

Fort Worth, Texas August 17th 1900.

Hon, The Mayor and City Council,

City.

Gentlemen.

In response to your "notice" to contractors", dated August 9th 1900, which is hereby referred to, the undersigned hereby propose to furnish all the materials and labor necessary to make all the repairs on all the School buildings and Fire Halls of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, strictly in accordance with specifications on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City, a copy of which is hereto attached, for the gross sum of $1,137.00 ________________ ($___________ ) Dollars.

The undersigned hereby agree in case this proposal is accepted, to furnish the reqiured bond, with good and sufficient sureties, residents of the State of Texas, (or approved guaranty company bond), and to enter into contract with the City of Fort Worth, within five days after notice of acceptance. And in the event of the refusal or neglect of th undersigned to furnish the required bond, and enter into contract as above stipulated then the City shall have the retain and convert the avails of the certified check attached to this proposalis and for the sole use and benefit of said City, as liquidated damages for such refusal or neglect.

The undersigned ha__ examined the the specifications for the work and the buildings themselved and fully the work to be done.

PROPOSAL.

Aug. 17th 1900.

Hon the Mayor and City Council,

City.

Gentlemen.

Inresponse to your "Notice to contractors", dated August 9th 1900, which is hereby referred to, the undersigned hereby xxxxxxx propose to furnish all the materials and labor necessary to make all the repairs on al the School buildings and Fire Hall of the City of Ft. Worth, Texas, strictly in accordance with specifications on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City, a copy of which is here attached, for the gross sum of one thousand , seven - hundred and Fifty dollars - ($1750) Dollars.

The undersigned Hereby agree in case this proposal accepted, to furnish the required bond, with good and sufficient sureties, residents of the state of Texas, (or approved guaranty company bond), and to enter into contract with the City of Ft. Worth, within five days after notice of acceptance. And i n the event of the refusal or neglect of the undersigned to furnish the required bond, and to enter intocontract as above stipulated then the City shall have the right to retain and convert the avails of the certified check attached to this proposal to and for the sale use and benefit of said City, as liquidated damages for such refusal or neglect.
