The report of Commissioner of Streets and Public Grounds, representing that Adams Street be paved from the north line of Railroad Avenue to the south north line of Cannon Avenue with what is known as bitulithic pavement, coming on to be heard, and the Board of Commissioners thereupon, and also upon their own motion having carefully considered the necessity and advantage of paving said street in the manner requested, and it appearing to the Board of Commissioners that there is a public necessity for having said street paved with said pavement; and it further appearing that so paving said street will increase the value of the property abutting thereon in a sum equal to or greater than the cost of constructing said pavement in front of the respective properties abutting on said street. It is therefore hereby ordered that the owners of property abutting on said street be, and they are each respectively, called upon to construct said improvement in front of their several properties respectively, and that they construct said pavement in accordance with the specifications accompanying said recommendation, and which specifications are recorded on pages 506-7-8-9 of Book R, minutes of the Board of Commissioners of the city of Fort Worth, and that this order, not including said specifications, be published in the official newspaper of the city of Ft.Worth, to-wit: The Ft.Worth Star once a day for ten consecutive days in order that persons owning property on said street, may have due notice thereof, and in order that if any person owning property on said street be unwilling to pay the cost of constructing said improvement in front of the property owned by him or her, that such person may file, or cause to be filed, his or her objection or protest thereto on or before the next regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners after the final publication of said order.

I hereby certify that the foregoing order was duly presented and unanimously passed by the board of commissioners of the city of Fort Worth at a session held September 10, 1907.

I, Bert Honea, cashier of The Star Publishing Company, publishers of The Fort Worth Star, hereby certify on oath that The Fort Worth Star is a daily newspaper, printed in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, and that the notice, of which a copy, with bill, appears on the attached paper hereto, was published in same newspaper on Sept. 5-6-7-8-911-12-13-14-th inc 1907.

LEGAL NOTICES ORDER OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON REPORT OF COMMISSIONER ON STREETS AND PUBLIC GROUNDS CONCERNING THE PAVEMENT OF RUSK STREET FROM THE NORTH LINE OF WEATHERFORD STREET TO THE SOUTH LINE OF BELKNAP STREET; AND BELKNAP STREET FROM THE WEST LINE OF HOUSTON TO THE EAST LINE OF RUSK STREET; AND HOUSTON STREET FROM THE SOUTH LINE OF BELKNAP TO THE NORTH LINE OF WEATHERFORD, EXCEPT WHERE ASPHALT PAVEMENT IS NOW ON SAID HOUSTON STREET; AND WEATHERFORD STREET FROM THE EAST LINE OF HOUSTON TO THE EAST LINE OF RUSK STREET, AND REQUIRING ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNERS TO COMPLY THEREWITH.

The report of the commissioner of streets and public grounds recommending that "Rusk street from the north line of Weatherford street to the south line of Belknap street; and Belknap street from the west line of Houston to the east line of Rusk street; and Houston street from the south line of Belknap to the north line of Weatherford except where aspahlt pavement is now on said Houston street; and Weatherford street from the east line of Houston to the east line of Rusk street," should be paved with bitulithic pavement, coming on to be heard, and the board of commissioners thereupon, and also upon their own motion having carefully considered the necessity and advantage of paving said sections of said streets in the manner requested, and it appearing to the board of commissioners that there is a public necessity for having said streets paved with said material, and it further appearing that so paving said sections of said streets will increase the value of the property abutting upon said sections of said streets respectively in a sum equal to or greater than the cost of constructing said pavement in front of the respective properties abutting on said streets;

It is therefore hereby ordered that the owners of property abutting on said sections of said streets be and they are respectively, called upon to construct said improvement in front of their several properties respectively, and that they construct said pavement in accordance with the said specifications referred to in said specification, which specifications are recorded on pages 505, 506, 507, 508,509 of Book R, of the minutes and proceedings of the board of commissioners of the city of Fort Worth; the said call upon said property owners is intended to embrace all that part of the said sections of the said streets in front of their respective properties respectively from the curb in front of their respective properties to a line 18 inches without the street car rail, nearest to said curb.

And it is further ordered that the Northern Texas Traction company, being the owner and operator of a line or lines of street railway on all of said sections of said streets, be called upon and it is hereby called upon to construct the said improvement on the said streets whereon it has street car tracks over all the space between its rails of its track or tracks where it has a double track and between its side tracks or switches and the main track and for 18 inches on the outside of the outer rail of all such tracks, side tracks, switches, etc.; and that the Citizens' Railway and Light company be and it is hereby called upon to construct said improvement on the space between the rails of its track and 18 inches on the outside of the rails situated in said Balknap street at its intersection with said Houston street.

And it is further ordered that this order, not including said specifications referred to, be published in the official newspaper of the city of Fort Worth, to-wit: The Fort Worth Star, once a day for ten consecutive days, in order that persons owning property on said sections of said streets or any of them may have due notice thereof, and in order that if any person owning property on said sections of said streets or any of them, be unwilling to pay the cost of constructing said improvement in front of the property owned by him or her that such person may file or cause to be filed his or her objection or protest thereto on or before the next regular meeting of the board of commissioners after the final publication of said order, and in order that any person, company or corporation desiring to do so may file his or her protest or objection to the construction of said pavement.
