Honorable Board of Commissioners Fort Worth, Texas.

Gentlemen:-

We submit the following proposal for paving on Weatherford and Belknap Sts. between Houston and Rusk Sts. and on Rusk St. between Weatherford and Belknap St. as per advertisement attached:-

Bitulithic Pavement as per Hemphill Sts. $2.35 per sq. yd.
Specifications on file in City Secretary's Office [???]
Sept. 14th 1907 including [??]
your guarantee of [nineteen?]
Haul on excavated materials in .01 per 100 ft. One Cent
excess of 200 lin. ft.
Extra Excavation in excess of grading .40 per cu. yd. Forty Cents
necessary for depth of paving
This proposal contemplates that the street sustain a first class improvement and payment for improvement shall be provided for in contract.

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: That we, Texas Bitulithic Company, a corporation duly organized under the laws of the State of West Virginia with its principal office at Dallas, Texas, have made constituted and appointed and by these presents do make constitute and appoint hereby annulling and revoking all Powers of Attorney whatever in the premises S. L. Johnson of the City of Fort Worth, State of Texas, our true and lawful attorney for us from time to time and in our name place and stead to make and sign proposals for the construction of pavement in the city of Fort Worth, Texas, giving and granting unto the said attorney full power in and authority to do and perform all and every act and thing whatsoever requisite and necessary to be done in and about the premises as fully and to all intents and purposes as we might do or could do if personally present hereby ratifying and confirming all that our said attorney shall lawfully do or c ause to be done by virtue hereof.

PROPOSALS FOR PAVING. –– Sealed proposals will be received at the office of the city engineer, city hall, Fort Worth, Texas, until 12 o'clock noon, Aug. 26, 1907, for the construction of about 9,800 square yards of brick, brick block and bitulithic pavement on Weatherford and Belknap streets, between Houston and Rusk and on Rusk street between Weatherford and Belknap streets, lying on north, east and south sides of court house. Specification on file in the office of the city engineer. A certified check for $500 payable to city auditor must accompany each bid. Evidence must be furnished of ability of contractor to begin and complete the work within a reasonable time. E. C. WOOOWARD, City Engineer.
