At a Meeting of the Suffolk M Society held at Dedham Nov 7th 1785 Present Drs Sprague, Wales, Barker, Thaxter, Hewins, Morrill, Richardson, Norton, Adams, Willard and Draper. Dr Hewins in the Chair. Passed the following Votes 1st To defer the choice of a President, Secretary and Counsellors till some future Meeting 2dly To choose a Secreatry pro Tempore and two other Members; who, with the Secretary pro Tem, shall be a Committee to attend the Business and exercise the Power vested in the Council by Article ye 5th accordingly Dr Draper was chosen Secretary pro Tem & Drs Barker & Wales

Milton May ye 1st 1786 At a meeting of the Suffolk M Society Present Drs Tufts, Thaxter, Barker, Shute, Metcalf, Gerauld, Richardson, Norton Holbrook, Willard, Sheperd, Adams and Draper. Dr Barker in the Chair. Voted 1st To choose a Committee to revise & amend the Code of Rules & Orders. Who are to report their doings at the next Meeting of the Society

Accordingly Drs Tufts, Draper and Barker were chosen to be said Committee. 2dly To choose a Committe to enquire into the present mode of Medical Education adopted by the Physicians of the County: and to consider what previous Qualificaiton are necessary to entrance on the Education, and what Instructions are necessary to qualify Pupils for the practice of Physic. Accordingly Drs Gerauld, Holbrook and Shute were chose to be said Committee. 3rdly Agreeably to the seventh Article of the Rules & Orders the following Practicioners were proposed for Admission viz Drs Aspinwal, Searle, Alden, Phipps & Whitaker. 4thly That the next meeting to be held at Dedham & that this meeting be dissolved.
