[left] Yes - Jim would call it the Gypsy Moth State due to his experiences in the CCC's in 1933-34 - and it was quite a coincidence Miriam when i went into the CCC's in 1936 i was also stationed in Bellows Falls - the same camp, But Jim wasn't there then, tho his 'reputation' was.

i had a swell visit with sister Anna today - Kerry had to work - clearing snow from school parking lots -

Today's Herald contained a terrific review, by Mr Ehrmann, on a book about the [Sacco-Vangelti?] case

Dearest Miriam,

I have yours of the 2ND in front of me - which arrived in good time and it made me very happy to read that your stay with Helen Bryan was Very Good!

Francis visited today and everything is just swell with he and his family - he regretted having missed the last MDA meeting due to the fact of a seemingly minor job with the sink, pipes, etc, turning out to be a 5 or 6 hour thing. He said everything is all set for the dance next tues. night and I know all will have a good time.

[left] the news about Jim was kinda hard But if he must be tested I know that he'll come through. He has made a good struggle and will not go without reward somehow, someday.

I received a nice letter from Bill O'Halloran Thursday and he expects the arguments in the Circuit Court of Appeals to be heard on Monday, April 4th.

Just a few days after you had written me about your friend Harold Russall - i saw him on T. V. (just a glimpse) long enough to see how wonderful he looked. What spirit he has! i will strive always to match it.

[left] Dearest Miriam,

Your beautiful letter of the 23RD arrived next day and it was so nice -as usualhearing from you.

How wonderful, too, to read about Helen Bryan's efforts in behalf of the April 17th meeting in Bennington Vermont "hand on the heels" of the memorable meeting in Rome between the Archbishop of Canterbury and Pope Paul.
