In the first part of July 1862 the bulk of Lees
army was about Richmond, we began to get
recruits and drill them three and four
times a day on the 8th of July Longstreets Coy
moved to Gordonsville on the Richmond + Alexandria
R.R. then to the Rappahanock rive the [?]
on one side and we on the other, then we
moved to bulls gap, this then was late in August
then to Second Manassas on 30th and 31 [?]
