Expenditures incurred and charged in the quarterly account from Jany [January] 13th 1850 to April 13 1850. This entire account consists of Board and Room Rent for three months in San Francisco where I was obliged to remain because I could not yet [illegible?] the County at that season of that [remarkably?] [illegible?] [winter?] of 1849. If considered stationary I should at least be justly entitled to my Room or Hourse rent for the times I was obliged to remain. My bill for room rent was not made out to me separate nor paid as a separate item.

to me known who being duly sworn did depose and say that the foregoing enumerated items from 2 to 19 inclusive are charges in his Quarterly account with the Government from 13 of April to 13 of July A.D. 1850 - that they were items of necessary travelling expenses incurred by him while on the business of [illegible?] Agency in the Valley of the Sacramento as new vouchers from 1 to 15 inclusive - and that items 7 and 8 [without?] vouchers were incurred while on the same business and as charged in said quarterly account
