February 1st Met according to adjournment, and proceeded to the choice of officers. Chose C Butler President, S.S. Sullivan Vice President, and L Chase, Librarian. Appointed Mr Holmes to take the care of the lamps, ring the bell &c on the ensuing term and Messrs H Holmes and C Noble to propose members to the society

The society then attended to the address of the President and passed a vote of thanks for the same. The report of the Vice President was read and accepted by the society 1st Voted, that thanks be rendered to the President and Vice President, for their faithful discharge of the duties of their offices. Messrs Holmes and Coffin, after giving reasonable excuses for their absence on the preceeding meetings were excused by a vote of the society 2nd Voted, the society meet at half past 6 o'clock next term. The society then adjourned.... Attest S. Sullivan VP & Sec

March 4th Met according to adjournment performed as usual (except Coggin, who was excused from performing his part and Tailor took the part in a debate, assigned to chase who was absent).

Mr Holmes, at his request, was dismissed from the society, and Mr Boynton excused from performing during this term on account of the urgency of his studies. Mr Manning, Barrister, and Feney were proposed to the society and accepted. Mr Kimball was appointed to supply the place of Mr Holmes as one of the committee to propose members. Adjourned.

March 11th Met according to adjournment and performed as usual. Voted 1st, That Mr Foster and Mr Woods be considered as candidates for admittance. Voted 2nd, That our meetings in future, commence at 7 o'clock. Adjourned.

March 20. Met on Friday, the academy on Wednesday being necessarily otherwise occupied on Wednesday. Performed as usual. Voted that the secretary present to the Social Fraternity a written invitation to attend our meeting on the 8th of April. Adjourned.

March 25th Met according to adjournment and performed as usual. Voted that Coffin's fine for tardiness be remitted. Adjourned.

April 2d, Met according to adjournment and performed. Cook was excused from performing this term on account of ill health. Adjourned.

April 9th Met, performed as usual and adjourned.

April 16 Met and performed as usual. Voted that our meeting commence hereafter at a quarter after 7.

April 22d Met and performed as usual. Voted, that considering the state of our library, a committee shall be appointed to select such book as are not needed in the library and report at the next meeting of the society. Appointed for that purpose, Keyes, Butler and Sullivan. Adjourned.

A[pril 29 Met according to adjournment and performed as usual. Voted that the committee appointed last evening, be authorised to dispose of the books which they had selected from the library. Voted, the memoirs of Mrs Judson

May 5 Met according to adjournment and performed as usual. Voted that Choate be invited to become a member of the society. Voted that the memoirs of L. Richmond be purchased for the library. Adjourned.

May 13 Met according to adjournment & proceeded to the choice of officers. Chose C Noble, President WS Coggin, Vice President, B Coolidge, Librarian, O Emerson to ring the bell see to the lamps &c on the ensuing term, and Messers Keyes and Manning Committee. The Society then attended to the address of the President. After which sold to Mr Foster a Book called the fool of Judity and received 27 cts as payment, likewise excused Mr Bell from the Society untill [sic] he regained his health as he requested, and remitted Mr Searle fine previously imposed upon him. Imposed upon Mr Coffin a fine of 25 cts for absence. Voted that Millers clerical lectures should be purchased for the library. Adjourned

June 11 Met according to adjournment, and performed as usual. Dismissed Mr Emerson (as he requested) from the duty of takeing [sic] care of the lamps ring

June 17. Met acording [sic] adjournment and performed as usual. Voted Mr Barrister to the care of the lamps ring the Bell &c. Adjourned.

June 26 Met as usual. Voted to dismiss the following persons to join the Social Fraternity W. Cook, W.W. Tailon, WP Coggin, C Butler, NH Keys, JP Foster, S Sullivan. Voted also to dismiss H Stetson. Chose Mr Manning for President, Mr Banister V. President, B Coolidge, librarian Mess. Callahan & Coolidge Committee remitted Mr Cooffin [sic] fine of 62 ct. Mess. Bussell, Reynolds, Sweetson, Dean, Pollock, were proposed for admission. Voted to thank Mr Noble as President & Mr Coggin as V.P. for their services since they have been in and particularly the
