24 Columbia Mar 27, 1893 The Town Council met pursuant to adjournment Mayor C P Hutchinson presiding The following Councilmen present: Bond, Hellenthal, Willacy, Voland, and Sullivan The minutes of the last meeting read and on motion approved. Moved and carried to take up Ordinance #22, the wame having been laid on the table on week, and on motion same was passed by the Council and approved by Mayor. Ordinance #23 To amend Ordinance #16 relating to the Dog tax and the Collection thereof, read and on motion passed by the Council and approved by the Mayor. Ordinance #24 An ordinance relating to the purchase from the Columbia Home Co of the Water Works appurtainces rights, priveledges and franchises, appertaining therto belonging to the said Columbia House Co]] and providing for the amount to be paid for the same and the means of paying the same, read and on motion rejected. Motion made and carried that the rate on the above ordinance be recommended and laid on the table until next meeting. Motion made and carried to lay the petitions (for the grading of Columbia St) on the table indefinately. 25 Columbia Apr 3rd, 1893 The Town Council met pursuant to adjournment Mayor C P Hutchinsonpresiding. The following Councilmen present: Voland, Hellenthal, Sullivan & Willacy. The minutes of the last meeting read and on motion approved. The following Bills read and on motion warrants drawn for payment of same. Bill from Joseph Hellenthal for $5.75 for work on Water Works and material for same. Bill formD C Brown for $2.50 repairing sidewalk. Bill from Lowman & Hanford $9.00 for supplies. The clerk's quarterly report read, and on motion same was accepted. Ordinance #24 known s the "Water Works Ordinance" read the second time on motion laid on the table for one week, and the Water Committee instructed to confer with Mr.Edniston about the same. Motion made and carried to accept the grade of Caldwell & Columbus Streets as shown on profile. Motion made and carried to draw warrants to pay the quarterly salary of the Clerk & Marshal. The minutes of the last meeting read and on motion approved. Ordinance #24 known s the "Water Works Ordinance" taken up and discussed and on motion same was passed by the Council and approved by the Mayor. Ordinance #25 "to establish the grade of Columbus St passed by the Council and approved by the mayor. Communication from the Puget Sound Pipe Co read and on motion placed on file. The petition to grade Columbus St taken up and on motion same was granted. 27 Columbia Apr 17th, 1893 The Town Council met pursuant to adjournment Mayor C P Hutchinson presiding. The following Councilmen present: Sullivan, Bond & Hellenthal. The minutes of the last meeting read and on motion approved. The contract between the Columbia Home Co and the Town of Columbia for the purchase of the Water works read and on motionaccepted. Ordinance #26 relating to the establishment of the grade on Columbus Street passed by the Council and approved by the Mayor. On motion the grade of Angeline, Winston & Ferdinand Street accepted as shown on profiles. Communication from the Secretary of the State Board of Health read and the motion laid on the table until next week. 28 Columbia Apr 24th, 1893 The Town Council met pursuant to adjournment Mayor C P Hutchinson presiding. The following Councilmen present: Willacy, Sullivan, Hellenthal. The minutes of the last meeting read and on motion approved. On motion the Water Works Commitee was empowered tofind out how muhwater pipe is needed to repair the water works and how much the same will cost and report at next meeting. On motion the Clerk was instructed to confer with the County Commissioners in reference to vacating the Columbia Park and report at next meeting. On motion the Clerk was instructed to make the assessment of the Twon. Resolution #2 Relating to the grading and improvement of Columbus Street passed by the Council and approved by the Mayor.
