strongly than in the past. I realized that the first nine months were very busy and spent pro uSoft about 51 or 52 hours a week. If it had been any less during the summer I could have make the mistake of committing to stay with MicroSoft. There was a lot to get done and I learned a lot, had a lot of good experiences and got it all done by Dec vacation when I wrote it up. Then Winter 1/4 I finished the year end everything up and decided where I wanted to work & tried a few other places (Xerox). All fall I spent a good part of time like 2 or 3 half days a week on EDX and myself and made as much progress as I felt I ought to. Winter quarter I worked only 40 hrs/week and then spent the rest

of the time on myself. this was possible after I firmly decided I would not be staying on with MicroSoft.
So that full year was important. I will not reap any profit from it but I did learn a lot, made mistakes and did not have to pay for them. The only income I can I say I really produced was OSI, Commo, & GE. The rest, like APL & Fortran, I was not associated with. I moved ahead & learned lots, made quite a bit of money. Had a great time socially, except maybe in the summer but I had to work hard then.
If I had done that year on EDITX stuff I may have blown it completely. Maybe I still have a chance. I was able to try a lot of different things, and do grass roots business too.
So that year is done. I have spent the first

two weeks of this 1/4 getting a new job + orienting to it and the last three weeks on busy things that had to get done.
So Monday and Tuesday I worked 3 half days for MicroSoft and 2 for Myself and 1 was pleasure (Dolly). I will be paid for 4 half days for uSoft because of the extra work I did beyond 20 hrs overtime in the last pay period. I did a day of 6502 + 1/2 day on deposition.
I spent 1/2 day on my selling EDX outright plus my idea of not wanting too much personal responsibility no. I also spent 1/2 day on my work for APS and on my finalizing the last year in my own mind.
So I am going well I think. This morning I spent on personal stuff, washing, bills, errands, this writing, gas, food, etc. So carry on now.

I went to work by 2:30. Stayed till 5:30. Just did software. Interesting bug in FRMEVL. Then went to spa. Thought out bug. Then realized what I say below. Then back to MS after dinner. Wrote bday card to Dad mailed it; substantiate bug fix. Then Mines came & talked till 10:30.
I realized that the only thing I'm gaining is that I'm moving to LA at an early age. There is nothing clear on the horizon there for me. But I am very certain that is where I am going. If it turns out that I could have waited a few years, then I've made a mistake. But I don't think that will happen. So I am following that drive out to LA & hopefully other significant things will occur. Ryan Mc & EDITX to start.
Lastly, It looks to me like the deposition will be a review of my mgt of MSoft. It is now past my YEAR and I will enjoy doing it. Then off to Cal. Will learn a lot. END

Thursday morning I spent on EDITX ref guide, was on my way at 9:15 went to Dataco. Rather expensive. Took drive to Old town arriving ~ 10. Thought about things till ~ 11.
Realized what it is I have besides a good education, good general background, etc., good work experience in computers, etc. I have a thing called EDITX. The program is valuable on Dec Sys 10s. The logic for it is worth a little to me too. The design is pretty worthless as for any computer program. Though it adds to my background. Do I want to sell it outright? I don't think I can. I must sell myself with it. If I must work on it, then I want to in a mode that will push me to push it. I want to be personally involved with it. I also don't know whether it can be sold to TYMSHARE, etc but I want
