My child
We did not hear from dear [Georgia] today - I have not yet heard if [Wm] came home -
I send a note which came for our dear Cousin by [An?]- We cannot use any of our houses they being [bled?] today - I hope dear [Lordy] will bring us favorable accounts of dear [Anna] & [Johnnie?]
In deaperate haste but with love to all
Your Mother [AMKing]
Mrs Wm Audley Couper
My own dear child
As I know you must be anxious to hear from our precious little [Anna] I fully expected you to send here for your Mail yesterday - The weather was so bad I could not give poor little [Ancel?] an additional ride. I have had to wait until [Char lotte] had finished with her mother before I could get any one to send to you today. I hope your precious child writes cheerfully. We heard from [Lord] up to the 6th Inst. still at Austin hoping to [leave?] at furthest in 10 days. A letter from dear [Floyd] of the 12th his health improved - from dear [Tip?] of the 15th quite well just leaving Charlottesville for Bloomfield. One from dear Cousin which I now send to you. I am writing to all of them by this mail. Your cake was ready yesterday could I have sent it to you. [Clementine] advises your selling your butter for chickens eggs [&?] as it will otherwise be a dear loss to you. Too strong to keep longer confined in your store room. Neither [Florence] or [Sally] are very well today - the [Grants] will go as soon as this weather clears -
Please send me a line particularly telling me how you all are. I hope the dear little boys are now quite over their throat ailments. All send love - God bless you my darling
Your affectionate Mother [AMKing]
I send you also 5 bread bags -
