My dear child
I was glad to hear from [William] that you were all well - I have much to worry me today - & by way of putting off [care?] have been very hard at work putting all things in order. I do not think I can come this evening- but may tomorrow evening - [Georgia] got but one pair of shoes - [Florence] the same - I know [Florence]s shoes are too large for you - & I fear [Georgia]s which I now send will not suit you as they are rather tight for her. & if they do not fit you I will keep them for [Virginia] - I have ribbons to trim all 4 of our bonnets & want you much to come over spend the day & do them for us before next Sunday. Kiss the dear babes for me - The children are all in school

My dear [Tootee] -
I am really grieved to hear that your sweet- my own dear [Willie] has been & is still so unwell - I had no idea he had had fever - I send you the gum & would ride over at once but I have letters to write & the girls wish the carriage to [s?] to [Frederien?] - thinking it possible the girls[?rants?] may be there - If [Willie] is not decidedly better by the evening I wish you would send for me & I will come over & see him - if his fever should increase before dinner send for me & I will come - dear dear little fellow I wish there was no one here that I could ask for him to stay with me & even now if you will let me have him I will take all the care I can of him -
I have not heard [Butler] say anything of going over to Hamilton either to dinner or supper - as it is so late I would will do all I can to persuade them not to go to dinner. as I have ordered all I can find - expecting them to dine here
[Lizzie] & her boy are fussing about as usual - & the [Mary ann] doing nothing but eat &c &c -------
[Lizzie] is better this morning Kiss the dear babies for your own Mother
