This Indenture made this twelfth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninty four, Between Robert Cobb ?? of the County of Chatham and state of North Carolina of the one part, & Francis Jones of the same County & State aforesaid of the other part, Witnesseth that I the said Robert Cobb ?? for an in consideration of the sum of two hundred pounds, specie to me in hand paid by the said Francis James at & before the sealing & delivring of these presents the receipt whereof I do acknowledge & every part and parcel thereof doth acqut & discharge hath Bargained & sold, & by these presents doth give grant bargain sell convy & confirm unto the ?? Francis Jones & his heirs, one certain ?? parcel of Land lying & being in the County and state aforesaid, on the head Waters of gnat Bush Creek the water of new hope Beginning at a Hickory at Richard Parkers Corner??, & running South along his line forty two poles to a hickory at the corner of Hogans land, thence East along his line 113 poles to a pine, thence South forty give poles to a red oak in Hogans line, thence East 217 poles ot a small gun in Clemmons line, thence along Clemons line North 167 poles to a black Oak, thence west 140 poles to a red oak in Kirbys line, thence South 40 poles to a post oak, thence West 126 poles to a White oak, thence South 40 poles to a post oak at Parkers corner thence West 63 poles to the first station, containing 250 Acers or the same more or less, with all & singular the rights & privileges Hereditaments and appurtenances to the said land belonging also all the right title claim, demand interest profits & Emoluments to the said tract of land belonging or on anywise appurtaining

To have & to hold the said land & premisses & every part & parcel thereof to the said Francis Jones & his heirs forever & the said Robert Cobb sen.?? with covenant & agree for myself my heirs that I will warrant and forever defend the legal right & title & to the said land & premises to the said Francis Jones & his heirs

Agreeable to your request have measured the timbers in the Colledge, the roof only excepted which appear to be Sufficently large, as to the Scantling. I have Let down the Sizes of The pieces as they Seemed to have been before they were Seasoned or dress'd

Sir,

Agreeable to your request have measured the timbers in the Colledge, the roof only excepted which appears to be sufficently large, as to the scantling. I have set down the sizes of the pieces as they seemed to have been before they were seasoned or dress'd.
