09. Lists A and C of Real Estate sold and opposition by heirs to Jenette R.Y. Snell

In the Probate Court of Salt Lake County Utah Territory.

In the matter of the discharge of the executors of the Estate of Brigham Young, Decd. and in the allowance of the claim of Jennette R. Y. Snell.

The heirs and devisees of said estate hereby object to the petition & allowance of the claim of Jenette R. Y. Snell for the sum of $3000 upon these grounds among others. That said claim is not a legal claim against said estate. That said devisee is estopped from asserting said claim of this date. That said devisee has receipts for her portion of her father's estate to wit the sum of $18,000 and is now estopped from denying the same. That the deed referred to in the petitions of said devisee conveys property of said estate belonging to said testator at the time of making his will [?] have been & was properly [?]

Class 5 to which said devisee belongs.

That by judgement of the District Court of the 3rd Judicial District of the Territory of Utah on the 4th day of October AD 1879 all the acts of the executors aforesaid up to that date were confirmed and approved, to which judgement said devisee was a party.

That on the 28th day of August 1878 said devisee Jenett R. Y. Snell did execute and sign a certain release for 18,000

That on the 5th day of September 1879 said devisee did execute and sign a document sanctioning and approving all the acts of the executors of the late Brigham Young dec'd from the commencement of their administration until the execution of said document, and at no time since the death of the decedent until the filing of the aforesaid protest did plaintiff object to the acts of the executors either as relates to herself or as to the other matters and things connected with the administration of said estate.

And your petitioners ask that said objection be not allowed and for such other and further relief as may be deemed

just and equitable
