Before me a notary public in and for said County, personally appeared Moses Thatcher, who upon being duly sworn on his oath does say; that he is the secretary of the Utah Northern Rail Road Company, and as such its duly authorized agent in this behalf; that he make this affidavit on its behalf; That said company is the claimant in the foregoing bill; That the amount therein claimed viz: the sum of ten hundred and eighty eight 46/100 dollars is justly due; that no payments have been made thereon and there are no offset to the same to the knowledge of the claimant or affiant.
