Had great sport also joined the old man, and talked to Mrs. Pilcher. She's surely a peach. I believe there is going to be another Pilcher though. Saw Dora & Grace & received a bid to the leap year dance on the 1st. Hurrah for the good old.

Gave her beautiful box of candy dates. {Julius} Also saw Hortense — made a date with her for Sunday night. Julius came and we started for Tom {Schor} [Scorchs]. He & his mother are surely fine people. His devotion for his mother

is beautiful. They are the best hearted people I ever met, and they entertained us in great shape. There were five other fellows there and we put away a couple of big bowls of egg nogg. Played & sang and left about 6-30 PM.

Home but found no Supper. Julius & I went to Grace's & found her sweet as ever. Gave her a present. Chatted until 10-30. Seemed like old times. She is another sweet one but being a Catholic gets next to me. Bed at 11-15.
