Saturday Dec 27 Sleep is doing me good. Came down town. Went to see [Charles Anderson] Wickliffe's (class of 1905) mother. Then to polytechnic. Had a good chat with Kreegen — a High School boy & Chas [Kahlert] — Class of 1903. We were bemoaning

that High School was deteriorating. Guess the foot ball game has made us blue. Spent most of the morning in polytechnic writing up Diary from Dec 23/03 to Dec 27. Bought two

pair shoes at Boston. After dinner went to the Masonic with Mama to see Quincy Adams Sawyer. Pretty good show & I enjoyed it immensely. Received a pair of beauty room slippers from Eloise. In

college colors — orange & blue. Dressed & went to [Comingore's] to their dinner at 6-30. Met Philura, Bessie, Blanch, Anna, Miss Hughes. Supper was surely fine & was served most artistically. Blanch planned it. She is

a fine girl — so accomplished. Sew, paint, draw, play grandly, and look like a French expert. She will surely make some fellow a fine wife. We played cards until late, bid eucher. Philura &
