Seiler for company. Bummed in town in afternoon. Also called {up} on Mrs. Barnhill. {Went to V} Saw Professor Gideon & he discussed a letter I wrote professor Halbeck several months ago. Talked to Baumgarten Werdner & Malott. Went to Y.M.C.A. at night for a

bath. Then Jeffries & I went a Buck — saw 'Night on Broadway' — fairly good show. Afterwards went to Doth Mathey's drank & ate something. Home & bed at 11 P.M. ---------------

Dec 29 {Sunday} Up at 7-30. Breakfast. Went to see Wickliffe & he told me of his troubles in getting home. Worked on debate a little. After dinner, got ready to go see Eleanor. Joe Lawton came in so we went to-gether. She was looking sweet as ever.
