A good day. No rain yet to do any good. The boys worked in the tobacco some this morning. Ben finished covering the barn shetter this evening. Jim & Ben & Henry got up the potatoes this evening. Josie got dinner and made Julia a dress.

I got up soon this morning and made a fire & brough a bucket of water. Washed last nights dishes then got the breakfast before any one else come. I then milked the cow. Made a fire at the wash house and washed until twelve.

Eat dinner and churned then went to Marvins. Reese carried his mother & all the children. The river was so mudy that we did not catch anything any acount.

A good day. No rain to do any good yet. The men folks worked on the tobacco all day.

Josie done a big washing to day. I am sorry for her to have such a time. Carrie washed and had her dinner to get. I am sorry that she has such a time. Cant get help for any thing. I sewed some on a quilt this evening. Made one peice tonight. Hope to finish it soon.

A good day. No rain yet here. Jim and Ben worked on the tobacco this morning. This evening Ben white washed the room that I sleep in. Josie made her a dress this morning. Julia & Edna picked a few berries. Julia stuck a barb wire in her leg. I hope it wont get sore much. A wasp stung Franklin. I hope it wont hurt him long.

Miss Fannie Power went with Mr Asa Anderson to Piny Grove to preaching. They are carrieng on. Protracted meeting there this week.

A good day. Some clouds this evening but no rain to do any good. Jim & Ben & Henry worked in the tobacco all day. Fannie Power went to preaching to day. Ada Anderson carried her and then carried her home. We will miss her. Josie got dinner & supper. Her and the children went to Marvins this evening. Marvin went to the burial this morning.

I cut a few quilt peices this evening.

The meeting at Piny Grove closed to day. They had two sermons and dinner on the grounds.

Had tomatoes raised this year for dinner today.

A good day. We need rain very bad. Jim & Ben worked in the tobacco all the morning. Worked on a fence this evening. Mr Mayhew come up here today at noon and talked with the boys a while.

Josie made two dresses to day. One for herself and one for Julia Brumfield. Julia has gone to see Christenia Reynols tonight. Will stay a day or two. We will mis her very much.

I went to Marvins a little while this evenig. Carries boys washed a washing of clothes to day.
