A cloudy day. No rain yet. We all staid at home all day. Ben worked on his car some.
Robert & Reubin Reynolds come a few minutes. I was glad that they come. They would not stay for dinner.
Josie & I got dinner. We had a roast hen and a very nice cake and not much besides.
I am glad that all are well as we are. 9:oclock

A cloudy cool day. Jim plowed all day. Ben cleaned up the branch in the morning. Henry and Edna went to school. Come home at noon & Ben and Josie and all of the children went to Mount Airy to a spelling bee. I staid at home a while. Norman Booker & family went to Level Run and to Jim Bookers fish trap. They had a fish fry. It was very nice much better than I expected. There was a crood there and all seemed to enjoy the sport. Norman Bookers horse got cut in the wire fence yesterday. I do so much thank them for taking me with them.

A cloudy day and a little rain. Jim and Ben worked most of the day. The children went to school. Franklin has a cold. Josie & I got a snack for dinner. Josie washed dishes. I went to Renon and to see Kate Harvey. Had a pleasant evening. I walked there and back. Some thing I won't do many more time without a change. I have to do so much hard work here that I can't get no rest and then don't do half eneough to suit them that I do for.

A clear cool day. Jim and Ben worked on a peice of new ground all day.
Henry and Edna went to school. Josie has bin sick all day. Ben is complaining to night. Hattie Gilbert washed here today.
Josie found her pin that she lost a week or so ago. I am miserable. There is so much that is needing to be done and no one much able to do. And them that could be so much help is not willing but there will be some sort of a way provided for the children.

A good morning. Cloudy and some rain this evening. Josie and Ben and some of the children are very much complaining. Think they have the flue. Ben has bin in bed nearly all day. Henry went to school. Come home and went to the store. He got some fish. Josie and I cleaned them ready for breakfast. Jim worked on his new ground all morning. Plowed this evening. I have done what cooking was done and not much besides. I know I dont do what I might but a bout all that I am able to do. I want to see Carrie and the children so bad.
