Little Chute Dec. 1869

Dear Sister: Your welcome letter I received the 8 of Dec. I had to go out to Little Chute sister Librada came down to Barton after me so I came up here last evening to settle so affairs. Dear Sister I am more able to tell you about Barton; the first week I was in Barton I got in trouble with Rev. F. he wanted to send Maryann to St. Joseph and I told him it would not do she was to teach the english Catholic school and dont know any manners nor anything but to read so he got angry and said that was only the Capushien that puts it in our head he did not establish the Convent for praying only to teach the ignorant children since the Capinchiens gave us [retreat?] everything went wrong but sisters I let him know after that it made me feel very bad if I could tell you all he said. He took Maryann as far as Milwaukee then he directed her alone to St. Joseph

[margin sideways text] Ecuse this scribling. I wrote it in in such a hurry for we want to take the train at 8 o'clock. Send me down those 40 Doll. for we need it very bad. I suppose you wont be able to read this letter.

Rev. F. send me some letters to Marytown before I left you better send them down to me he is always asking me if you did not send them yet.

I heard from the old teacher that he send a letter to Pates Coystan about him what he said in retort to him but I am not certain he wanted me to go after sister Benedicta to Marytown but I would not do it.

I was going to see what more he was going to do I would told him that he did not keep his word, saturday came he went down and told F Reindel to come and hear our confession what I wished for I did not feel to go to him so he came at two o'clock Rev. F. went first to confession while we were all in the chapel he stayed in long as Lidwina, after we all went. I must say F. Rindel was very good he gave me a most splended sermon it made me feel real happy. The next day Rev F.
