I got them all brown vails to were to Church and chapel and they wore little colars everyday they look quite good. Sisters and Candidates are not allow to talk together any more it much better I have made some changes but I cant do everything at once for its gone to far I must say the sisters are willing and have not made me any trouble so far yet., but it is hard I have not slept many nights since I been here in Barton. Dear Sister: Gertrude

Inclosed you will find a letter you may give to sister Benedicta. I just came back from Little Chute I got leave to collect in Detroit but I dont expect to go myself that is if I cant send no one else. We are getting along quite well. We have 12 Candidates they are learning real well and are kept in good order so far that Margaret from Penn. she is a most excelent scholar she teaches them in the morning I never found so good hearted girl since I been in the Convent she is pious and has good sence. Your last letter you wrote me I could hardly read for the ink was so poor. About Cacilia coming I can not say presently for she is out collecting to Port Washington but I am in hopes to send her very soon Now a sister to do the washing I dont know one here it is to bad try and get some one to wash for you

till I can send some one if Walburg dont behave herself Sister Rosa might send her back or send her home. she is no use to the Convent. I will write to sister Rosa and very soon. I have so much to do here. Now dear sisters I wish you all a merry Chrismass and a happy New year last year P. Pacificus was with us yet and this year we are all seperated from each other next year who knows we may be not live any more. I hope you will enjoy yourself well on that day think of me a little for I have the way to go that is on a cross way my pleasure of this world is gone and I dont care for it anymore I can say only my God and myself for he is the only one that will not leave me if I seek him Pray for me and sister Lidwina I often think of her I know that she is sickly I hope you will be kind to her.
