made so remarks but did not speak it very distinctly out. Sister Dornville thought if you would keep the rules better then you would get along. It seems to me Pac F. knows it they say he spoke. Sister P. said if she would stayed longer up there she would have nothing anymore she was glad that she got away Rev. F knows that. I told her and the others that she had the right spirit and wanted to sing me in virtues would be glad to have that chance but they had the spirit of the devil I had to say enough I gave it to her too. Benedicta did not say much I asked her if it was so she said that there was no reason to say so and that you had a great deal to do as I know myself. I been there long enough to know what is to be done and that we all have times not feel like as if we could do anything at the right time. Sister dont understand anything, its just with them as it was with that man that sent to find the stove and eat his bread as he thought [?] [?] [?] [?] [?] Do the best you can and God knows our good will. I know that you had trouble enough up there once I left and I had them also. Look at your Lord especially in this holly time how he suffered for us poor sinners. In the [sweet] of Jesus you will find consolation not of people. You may believe if it was for Jesus here in the blessed Sacrement I could not live by Him. I get consolation and if he dont console me I think he is [risen] by me and wants me to feel that I must suffer if I want to enter in the Kingdom of Heaven. So you must also Will of God be done and have patient dear sister I hope for better times in heaven we may engag ourselves and I

hope to gather. O sister my troubles are not to express but pray to God for me some times that I can carry everything with patient. Dont come down till you can have a chance to stay a couple days and speak our [?]. I am tired and could write you a great deal more. I hope things will work good and Barbara will become a good sister she has been long enough in the Convent. I forbid her to talk about Milwakee she likes to but dont let her for its no good. I must come to a close give my love to P.C. and if you see good P. Antonia then send my love to him also. I will write a few lines to Lidwina. I few words to sister Rose. I am glad that she is happy and contented. That is the best you can tell her some of what I wrote. I cant write extracts for her too. I remain most sincere Sister

Mary Agnes.

I got a letter from my Godmother she sends her love to you too.

Pray for us all.

Aug 3, 1870 Dear Sister (This must be Fond du Lac Summer 1870)

I was in such a hurry yesterday that I did not know what I wanted. Dont be lonely in Marytown. I will see you often after we get in Fond du Lac. I was thinking about giving you sister Josephine and Louisa after retreat for the Jumas school. Sister Josephine is in truth a true sister you will have some consolation and Louisa I dont know but I think she is good too. So have patient yet in Marytown. I pitty you but better times will come it wont be long after we get going here once and I can get some one to take your place you may come here too if you wish for needlework and what ever we can do. I dont feel like going down to Barton. I think best if you go down come through here and take Lidwina and Gertrude along for it will cost to much money if you come bring those $100 along

Fond du Lac the 3 of Aug 1870 Fond du Lac, Aug 3 1870

Dear Sister: I received your kind letter just before I went to Milwakee. I had no time to answer it sooner for I just got back yesterday. I am sending you sister Paula but I dont like her to stay, she may stay there till I see you again. I would like very much if you could come and see us so I would speak to you in regard of the schools. I only sent her there to tell you about it but if you think it would do [Juriler] leave her. I had intended to send her to St. Anten or St Augustine. I am not going to receive Francis any more for she acted bad enough here in Fond du Lac. I had some trouble with the Dioces of Green Bay last week the Bishop wrote me a pretty hard letter about our sisters its Rev. F. Rebul doing he is trying all he can against us and writing one letter after another to him I went to Green Bay Last
