Dear Sisters: I received the money, and I was glad to hear from you again. I was not very well this last week but I am better again. Dear Sister I know I could not do anything with Rev. Father. I am always so sorry that I made up my mind and came down here, Just as I wrote in my letters, so he is, but the will of God be done. We have such a nice set of Candidates one came yesterday from Milwaukee a very nice girl 21 years old has also property but what does it help to see how Rev. Father sends them out he said he would answer it all for God, we dont need to answer it and he did not care for no sisters talk. They would say and do what ever they like against it he would do as he thinks is right and all those sisters that dont like it the way he wants it could go some where else, so he dont want to hear any more of complain about the mother house no Novigiat is going to be the first ones had none, and we dont need none either. We talk to him in good sister Prefecta and I but all he will talk is of the old things cant get anything out of him He is in want of money and I suppose he thinks I get it now, and he was scolding this week that the sisters need so much money, then I told him they must work hard and need to live thy do what thy can. I dont mind

anything any more I go on my way the way Pates told me I will see what news the Bishop will bring. Now if you came down to Barton Agnes feast or if any one from there comes down bring those brass chandlestick along and see if you cant get six good candles. We are going to have Levetertes high mass on St Agnes feast, bring also some of the Harmonists books along and the first voice of Benedictus you can bring what ever you please. Bring Gertrude Heun too.

I must close, pray for me, my love to all the sisters Pates and all the singers and good friends that inquire for me. In hopes to see you soon again. I suppose sister Lidvina will not be pleased if she cant come you better let her go if you can, if no one else can come so you better come. Tell Benedicta that Rev. F. tolde me to writ if she wished to come down here and try it again and if she did not like it she might get money to go home to her folks.

Mary Agnes.

Dear Sister I received your kind letter with the money I am very much obliged to you for all the good and kind wishes. I was very sorry that you could not come along for we had a nice day. Dear Sister I was sorry to hear that you dont get along well togther, that is hard for me, the sisters must be obediant and obliging or else you cant get along. I told Lidwina enough while she was here. The letter you wrote about Lidwina writing to me was nothing much it was because I did not write to her yet and about my brother John and that you were not getting along well together, but not the reason why you were not getting along well Sister Lid. did not want to go back to Marytown because you told her once about her to clear away from there, she thinks you dont care for her any how, I told her to go again and try it of course is you dont want her with you I will send her off on another mission I know well enough how she is and its not easy to get along with her, though I think you knew her long enough and thought that it would go better I have trouble on every side dear Sister and after I think that I was foolish to come here then everything would been all right the holy will of God be done. I dont know nothing else as to pray to God for His help. I shall send you Lochous for a while I tried my best but there is no one else that I can send, keep her strickt that she will be a good sister after dont let her go among the children because she is a little talkative
