Gentlemen of the Board of Trustees During the year now ending the health of both students and faculty has been very good. No case of serious illness has occurred among us. The department of the young man has been uniform by good and the grade of scholarship will compare very favorably with any preceding term. The social an dofficial intercourse between the theachers and students has been pleasant, and profitable. The number enrolled during the yar is one hundred and fifteen. The depeartments of instruction have all been continuously filled, and the work therein, I believe has been faithfully and efficiently performed.

The moral and religious condition of the university has never been better, at least for many years. The following counties, fifteen in number, have each sent one young man free of tuition, according to the provision of the Board Vig: Meigs, Franklin, Washington, Hancock, Gallia, Scioto, Hamilton, Morgan, Ross, Noble, Lawrence, Vinton, Guernsey, Belmont, and Greene. Five disabled soliders have also according previous regulatin of the Board been admitted to the privileges of the Institution free of charge

Annual Meeting June 21st 1865 for tuition. According to an act of the General Assembly of the State of Ohio all minors who have been in the army during the rebellion are entitled to free tuition. It may be well for the Board as its present sejourn to take some action in relation to the matter. The income from tuition, room rent and contingent fees is about ten hundred and fifty dollars ($1050) THe Faculty recommend that the tuition be fixed as ten dollars per term for next year, and contingent fund at two dollars per term. The Faculty ask the concurrence of the Board in the adoption of the following regulations us to rewards. Any students on or after entering college the summer class, whose genuine term grade for six consecutive terms shall have averaged as high as eighty-five (85) shall be called a Senior scholar and shall be exempted from the payment of tuition fees for one year, but he shall loose this privilege when even his term grade falls below (85) eighty-five. Any student who on or after entering the class whose general term grade for six consecutive terms shall have averaged as high as ninety (90) shall be called a senior scholar, and shall be exemplified from the payment of all college fees, but he shall loose this privlege whenever his term grade shall fall below ninety (90). The Faculty also ask the consent of the Board to convert the room now used as a Museum into a lecture room or chapel. The cost for doing this weill not be great, and may be met without drawing on the funds of the University. The following persons of the present class are recommended to receive the degree of S.B. Henry T. McKinden, N.N. Deverell and M. o Young. The following for the degree of S.M. William L.G. Money, R.R. Brown, William H. Scott, H.C. Muntion and J.L. Hatfield.
