These letters were written to his family in Los Angeles from September 1895 to May 1896 and discuss his classes, exams, fees and expenses, the celebration on campus after decision in court case on Leland Stanford's estate, excursions to S. Next Friday the opera Send Pasha is going to be given in the gym. They have built a stage and we practice every night now till 12 oclock. Last night I did not get home till nearly one oclock. It's going to be very fine. Say did you go to hear the Stanford Glee club when they were down there.

Tuesday night. I think some of the letters are lost in the mail.

Either you dont read my letters or you don't get them I have told you about that course that I was to take next summer. I have succeeded in getting it here. I wrote this about three times and never a word is said in the letters I received. The lab fee in this course is $12.00 and $7.50 for tutorage. I have to get a book also

I wrote all about it about March 14. Maybe you think this is too much but if you think of what it would cost in summer you will change your mind. As I have to have it and there is not any to much time left I went right ahead. I thought if there was any objection you would write as soon as you got the letter of Mar 17th.

If I would have taken it next summer in the summer school I would have to say 6 weeks. The expense would have been Board at least $30.00 and tuition $25.00 besides books etc.

I received Elsies letter yesterday and her picture and the money order. That is a fine picture of Elsie and I thank her very much. Tell her that she must get Ted's picture taken and send me one.

played in San Jose during the rose carnival.

My oranges are not all gone yet but this after noon I hate 6 one right after the other. They taste fine.

Well there is nothing more to write but that there are only 3 weeks more.
