Dear Ma etc:

Recieved Ma's German letter the other day and was very glad to get it. Although I could not read it right off I got the meaning. After I had studied it like a book I got every word. I read that Gus arrived Sunday and was glad to get home. I also read about that 15 pound turkey. - O, how my mouth watered. I thought of the time when Tillie and Annie tried to fill Guss and I up just before Gus went away. I wonder how Gus looks. I have almost forgoten how he looks.

Otto Gottschalk is asking about Gus. He wants him to come to Stanford. He don't look well I guess he has been rushing it pretty much lately. He belongs to the Sigma Alpha Epsilon frat and I guess they have some pretty gay times.

Two weeks from today I will be rattling on the train on the way home. I wonder if Ted will know me yet. I guess he has forgotten me long ago.

Has Gus got aquainted with Tug yet. He said he would like to meet him.

Walter is planning trips for us to make when I get home but I guess there won't be much time for any extended camping expeditions

I wish I had my shot gun up here. There are lots of ducks at the bay.

I am getting along fine in school. I have been excused from 2 final ex's already. Trigonometry and Geometry I am very near the end of the Chemistry course and I think I can finish.

Mrs. Haunon wants me to get a ticket for [Gaureng?] this Xmas. As soon as I find out definitively about the rates and conditions I will write to her.
