The CPA exam is a tough 2 1/2 day test. Review manuals are 2000 pages long. What an accomplishment to finish. But not for me.

So there was a lot of momentum until Fall + Win '85, and then it got to be slow + boring. All that accounting with live data was too real-world.

So I'm doing pretty well through June '84, and then I was inspired by reading about Mozart after that. And the work was challenging and personally rewarding. But I want friends back in my life. I've started this by working on my apartment in June, and buying clothes now...

Morning: Go looking for shirts at Fredericks. Find that John Henry's 16 1/2" neck fits me very well now. And its 65% Poly so it won't wrinkle, but is still high quality. Got white (solid), blue + maroon stripe. It fits smooth all the way around.

Go home and wash shirts. Then go shopping for suits. Decide on a dark grey pinstripe, light gray, and blue blazer with grey pants. Expensive, high quality. Klopfensteins.

Go home + pack for Vancouver. Eat dinner. Drive. Arrive at 9:30. Sit around with wine. Nice view! Go out to Gaudy Dancer. Friday is men's night. Met cute guy from Calgary with hot body, big dick + French accent. Stayed in hotel room.

His brother was very nice about letting us use the room...

SATURDAY JULY 20

Nice brunch at Bubbers, with Andre and his friends from Calgary. Then drive out to Wreck Beach starting around 11:30. Fun. Never had seen it so busy. Lots of naked bodies, and I felt self-conscious wearing a suit. So I eventually took it off and was ok till my dick got cold + shriveled up. How can most guys keep it so full? From now on wear a swimsuit.

Clean up at Brads. Barbecue at Gales. Dancing at Barleys. Ross Murray.

SUNDAY JULY 21

Quick breakfast at McDonalds. Spend day at Water Slides. Fun roller coaster-like + T2-fast speed slides. Nice day with Brad, Dean, Mario, Gale, Shannon, and Mario's kids + baby sitter.

Dinner at Andy's - Art deco restaurant.

Home. Very good feelings.

MONDAY JULY 22

Exercise first thing since none since Thursday. Laundry. Talk with Kaycee Kristi (head of Wash State Financial Planners, Assoc.). Set up appointment for Thursday the 25, but then realize I won't have suits until Friday. Change to Wed July 31.

Watch TV until I go to bed. I must rehumanize myself. Take it easy. Meet interesting people.

TUESDAY JULY 23

Very little motivation except to think. Spent the morning laying around wondering about where to live. I realized I must differentiate pre-body from body as far as evaluating how much I like places. Before Feb '84 I had very little physical attractiveness compared to now. But I was happy here with Bob + Brad in 1982 + 83. There were just 4 trips to LA + SF each:

Apr '82 A nice vacation with Aaron, Jorge, etc. Trip to Laguna to see Greg Vail + Tim. Beverly Hills party at Komacks

May '82 Trip to LA should've been to SF

Aug '82 Partying to hard in LA. 2 nights of drugs + baths. Ron Jesse's father dies.

Sep '82 Russian River with Brad. Very nice vacation at river and at Trocadero and Olympics

Feb '83 LA weekend - rainy - quiet

Feb '83 - SF weekend - rainy - not bad

July '83 Orange County to visit Tim. Pleasant but no thrills.

Sep '83 Trip to SF + Russian River. Spent lots of time thinking ~ work. Saw Chip + Stanford

So all those trips were just vacations, or weekend getaways. I MET NO NEW HOT MEN ON THOSE TRIPS. But that was ok. Seattle was hot in '82 + 83 with Bob + Brad.

Sometimes I feel bad that I didn't make better use of OC when I was there. Or that I never lived in LA itself. Or body-built then. But I was doing what I wanted pretty much. Russell + persfin + tech analysis in 1980 and Atari Basics + travel every weekend in 1981. THERE WAS NO INTEREST IN LA.

But then I got something of a body after Bob + I broke up.
