Friday, December 10, 1920

A cloudy most of the day. Ben went to the mill this morning. Carried all the wheat that he had boght some brand paid 2.75 per bushal. Josie made the baby a dress. I washed the baby, five aprons, and ironed them. I have bin busy all day and nothing to show for what I have done. Ben has gone to the school house to a farmers meeting. He went with Marvin.

A beautiful day. Ben, Josie, Franklin & Mabel went to Mr Jim Power. Mrs Car went with them. She staid down there. Mr Power was hunting. They did not see him. Betty Haley & Shooler washed here today. I washed up the kitchen. Henry & Edna helped me some. Edna and I went to Carries a few minutes this evening. Carrie was sewing on my dress. I think she will finish it to night. Martha Miller went home this evening. Ben has gone to the lodge.

Sunday, December 12, 1920

Cloudy most of the day. No rain yet. Ben has bin at home all day and all of us has staid at home. I have done all the cookin, milked the cows. Ben brought in a barrel of flour and a can of oil to night. Ben helped Henry fix up his bysicle so he can ride it. He is beggin to ride to the school house. I hope that they wont let him. I started to Marvins and heard that they were not at home so I come back. 9 oclock

Monday, December 13, 1920

Cloudy all day. Rain to night. Ben out a little to day. He killed three sqirrels. He dressed them. I cooked chidlins to day at the wash house. I washed some. Josie washed and pressed some goods to make Franklin a suit of clothes. Jim come home to night. Carrie sent a new dress that she had made. Sent it by William Gilbert. Mr Owen finished a cureing of tobacco this evening. Mrs Owen got my cards to make some bats for a quilt.

Tuesday, December 14, 1920

A good day. Ben & Jim worked on the spring. Helped it very much. I cooked all the morning. Boiled three sqirrels and back bone, hogs face and liver. Made scrapple, baked a tung [?] Josie and Ben started to Danville. I hope that they made the trip ok. They got to Gretna allright. I talked with Grace this evening. I am always glad when she answers the phone. The baby has done very well so far. Hope she will let me sleep some to night. Henry went to school. Jim helped load the waggon this evening for Owens.
