A cloudy morning and some rain. I think it rained most all night. The men stripped tobacco. The children went to school. Joe Edmons brought them home. I was glad for them. I cut three pair of drawers for Mabel and made one. They are two large for her. I have bin thinking of Kate to day. It was so rough that Ben could not haul a load for her. I hate so bad for her to have to leave the neighborhood. I had a letter from Carrie today. Was glad to hear but sorry that the children are sick.
