A good day. We all staid at home until twelve. Then Henry went to Mr. Emersons. Jim and Lizzie come and eat dinner with us. I was glad to see them. I am always glad to have any of the children come. Jim and Lizzie went to George Blains from here. Henry carried them on the car. I am glad that Henry can run the car. Mabel is as cross as can be. I hope she will not get sick tonight.

A cloudy day. Rain tonight. The men stripped tobacco all day. Would of loaded the wagon if it had bin a good evening. Mildred Power went with Edna to school. Elizabeth stayed with Mabel. I was glad that she did stay. I cooked beef and cabbage for dinner. Lawson Power come for the children at dark tonight. He eat supper with us. I hope they got home ok. We will miss them. Hope that they my may come a gain when the weather is warm so that Maybel [sic] can go where she pleases. The children here are at the dining room playing rook.

A colde disagreeable day. The children went to school. Heard yesterday there was a new baby at Clack Hubbands. Jim and Ben loaded the wagon with tobacco and started to Gretna today. I hope that they are at Marvin's tonight. It is so lone some here and they both gone. Heard today that Will King was hurt by his truck turning over on him. He was near Gretna. I don't know any thing to write. No one comes to see me and I can't go to see any body.

A good day. The children went to school. Ben and Jim was at Gretna today. They staid at Marvin's last night and eat breakfast there this morning. They unloaded their tobacco last night. Marvin and Carrie was at Mc Laulin[?] until bed time. Mabel and I eat dinner by ourselves. Jim come at one oclock. Then I fixed dinner for him. He come with Mr. Booker. I was glad when he come. Ben come with the team about sun down. I was very glad when he come. Lelia come and got some salit this evening. Henry and Jo Edmons and Ben has gone hunting.

A good day. The men stripped tobacco most of the day. John Ward went to the mill with corn the first that has bin carried this fall. I am glad to get some new meal. The squirrel got out of his cage to day. Guess he wont be seen any more a bout here. Ben turned two opposomes loos today and gave John one. Henry got a letter from Julia Brumfield today. Mabel has bin sweet today. Lelia washed for us today. I wrote two letters today. Did not get any letters today. Hope we may hear from Nellie tomorrow.
