A good day Ben East & Family & Lee & Grace & Hilda all came a while and Johnson & Josie & Family came a few minutes [?] & [?] [?] brought Josie some ice She was glad of the ice

Jim & Ben gathered some cherries. The cherry is at their best now.

I got dinner. I cooked fish & chicken. I will be glad when the vegetables get so that we can use them

A good day. We had a good shower last night. We all staid at home all day except Henry. He went to Johnson Reynols for a basket of peches Earl & Lizzie Bennett come by to see Josie a while. Posie Reynols & Marvin Smith com a few minutes at night.

I got most of the dinner. I cooked cabbage & potatoes and beets & beef. We all enjoyed the beef. Carrie & the kids was at Mollies to night. Wish I could see them.

Mollie & Julia come from Norf. today. I want to see them bad.

A cloudy day. Rain tonight. Josie died this morning 20 minutes after three oclock. Denia and Mollie and Kate Mrs. Booker Mrs Edmonds & Mrs. Kent was here. They all done what they could to help about what was to be done. Jim Johnson went to Gretna and got a casket a very nice one. There has bin several here today. Two preachers Mr. Hogan and Mr. Jenings(?) ??? and Otho and Sallie and Mrs. Thomson are here tonight. Oscar Eade and Hellen and Doris Brumfield come tonight and brought flowers. Mrs. Car ? has been upstairs most of the day. Heard tonight that Olas boy is better. Hope he may get well. Carrie and Reese and the baby come 15 until 8 oclock.

A colde cloudy day. The boys got wood today. Nellie got dinner, fried potatoes and baked bread. Made ginger cakes I enjoyed with the dinner. This evening Nellie staid with Mabel. I went to Reynols. Walked up there and back. Johnson had gone to Danville. Mrs. Cook was there. I did enjoy my vist. While I was there, Mrs. Carr come home from Lynchburg. I was glad that she made the trip. So good we are glad for her to stay with us what she will. Mollie walked with me as far as Bookers Barn. Mrs. Carr brought the children some presents. (?)
